We are counting down the performances of 'DRUMMING XXL' in Brussels and Paris!

After more than 2 years of preparations with the Conservatoire de Paris Cnsmdp and Ecole des Sables this long awaited project is coming closer!

For ‘DRUMMING XXL’, P.A.R.T.S teams up with the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris and École des Sables, the International Centre for Traditional & Contemporary African Dances, founded in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal by Germaine Acogny.‘
DRUMMING XXL’, brings together 65 performers from the 3 schools, for this exceptional version of Drumming, created in August 1998 by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Rosas, to the music of Steve Reich.
The dancers from the various schools will work on a new version under guidance of Clinton Stringer, recreating several sections of the original piece, making their own transformations of the original material, creating duets and trios, and using the underlying structures of the original choreography to create new constructions. One to look forward to!
Rehearsals in Brussels (under guidance of Frank Gizycki, Laura Poletti & Sue Yeon Youn) and in Senegal (under guidance of Clinton Stringer & Moya Michael ) are in full swing.
This Sunday all students will meet for the first time at the Art & History Museum Brussels in Brussels for a week of rehearsals.

on Friday May 31st as part of the festival 'europalia Art2gether', in partnership with 'EU2024BE', the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the City of Brussels.
