Biography Rania Barhoumi

A letter about myself:
Rania Barhoumi is an artist/dancer and young choreographer that was born in Tunis-Tunisia. The artist is ambitious about the movement, delightful for the body, movements and human movements in the non-human body. The beginning was a simple improvisation dance with her brother during summer nights until she decided to look for a place where she could understand why she has this ambitious desire for movement as an entity. In 2015 she was part of dance school “Free Dancer”, where the training varied from contemporary dance, Modern, to Jazz and Hip-Hop. Afterwards, she started to follow a full time program for contemporary art with the association L’ANG ART. Meanwhile, she was following her studies of four years for Arabic literature in Tunis. Moreover, she had a lot of exchanges within dance projects and participated in various performances. In 2017 she has been accepted as a professional dancer within a company of dance in the city of culture - Tunis. In 2019 she got accepted in P.A.R.T.S where she studied three years and graduated in July 2022 with a bachelor degree in Art with a title of dance. She worked as an assistant for three months from 15 September until 15 December 2021 with Mophradat’s associations, where she assisted the artist Radouan Mriziga in his latest work “AKAL” (THE EARTH). In October 2021, Rania worked with the artist Sidi Larbi Charkaoui in a project titled “The Chased” with the performance “Amal” that took place in Brussels.
